Backend Developer

Build and maintain the services that power Yenzi’s mobile and web experiences. You will develop reliable APIs, manage data and background processes, and ensure users can connect, share content and control access to their information securely.

• Develop APIs for accounts, profiles, portfolios, posts, feeds, communities, company pages and notifications.
• Design database schemas, queries and migrations that preserve data integrity and support growth.
• Implement authentication, permissions and access controls, including protection for private portfolios and media.
• Maintain background jobs for notifications, indexing, analytics and account deletion.
• Monitor reliability, investigate production issues and improve performance and infrastructure costs.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, designers and security colleagues; maintain clear API documentation and meaningful automated tests.

• Strong TypeScript skills and experience building production APIs.
• Practical knowledge of SQL, relational database design, caching and asynchronous processing.
• Experience with authentication, API security, debugging and automated testing.
• Ability to make sound technical decisions and explain their trade-offs clearly.

Cloudflare Workers, Hono, D1, Drizzle ORM, R2, KV, Queues and Better Auth; social platforms or systems handling user-generated content.
